We viewed a similar car from a private seller on DoneDeal with over 500 sales, but our mechanic advised against buying privately. For a small additional cost, we could purchase from a garage with a 12-month warranty. The private seller also refused to return our deposit when we decided not to proceed under the advice of our mechanic. We ended up buying from Flanagan’s instead and had a great experience. The process was straightforward, we picked up the car, had a cup of tea and a handshake, and everything has been smooth since. A fantastic husband-and-wife team, very friendly and family-oriented.
