A special mention goes to Lauren, whose amazing personality and dedication really stood out. I recently bought my new electric car from Western Motors and dealt with Gabriel throughout. From the very beginning he was genuinely friendly, patient, and easy to deal with. As it was my first EV, I had plenty of questions and he took the time to explain everything clearly without any pressure. He kept me updated at every stage and made the whole experience smooth and stress free. Very dissapointing experience as a returning customer of Western Motors Galway. After several days agreeing a new electric car purchase, finance and trade-in, I was asked to come in with a deposit. I travelled across Galway believing I was finalising the purchase, only to be told on arrival that the grey car i had agreed to buy was no longer available and I was offered a white car instead. I had spoken to the saleperson twice that morning also the lady in the finance department and nobody contacted me beforehand. Sadly, this is the second time we have had a similar experience here. Extremely disappointing customer service, particularly when making such a significant purchase. IF I WAS TO GIVE AN HONEST RATING, THEY WOULD'NT EVEN GET A 1 STAR RATING "UPDATE - 19TH OF AUGUST 2026" I appreciate Western Motors responding publicly to my review. However, the response does not address the main issue. I fully understand that cars can sell quickly. My issue is that I spoke with the salesperson twice that morning, completed the finance process with clara over the phone and was specifically asked to come into the dealership that afternoon with a deposit, i travelled across Galway believing i was finasling the purchase only to be told when I arrived that the car was no longer available. 'Western Motors' response states that they would appreciate the opportunity to restore my confidence. I therefore sent a detailed formal complaint directed to senior management on the 12th August. As of the 19th August, I have recieved no acknowlegement or response whatssoever!!! unfortunately, after being a returning customer, the lack of any direct reponse has only added to my dissapountment.
